Amanda works one-on-one and in small group settings with both young and established writers and storytellers as a creative writing mentor and coach.

She specializes helping writers find and hone their unique storytelling voice. This can take the form of helping mentees complete a long-term project such as a novel, screenplay, or creative portfolio, guiding them in the drafting and editing of a personal application essay, providing a full manuscript critique and revision plan, or working with students to strengthen their storytelling skills.

In addition to her work as an author, Amanda has over a decade of film industry experience working with screenwriters and filmmakers to brainstorm, outline, and draft feature film and television projects that have won Emmy Awards and earned Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations. When she works with her students, her goal is to provide the same level of accountability and mentorship that professional writers and creators need to flourish and grow.
